Omaha, Neb. — Services for Howard S. Holmgren, 85, Omaha, Neb., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dundee Presbyterian Chapel. Interment will be at Sheridan Cemetery, Auburn, Neb. Mr. Holmgren died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Millard, Neb. He was born April 13, 1913, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Stanley Henry and Hazel Reiff Holmgren. He was a veteran of World War II and worked for Mutual of Omaha. He married Frances Nordland. She survives of the home. Mrs. Holmgren is a niece of Mrs. Dolph Simons, Lawrence. Other survivors include a daughter, Mary H. King, Vienna, Va.; two brothers, Kenneth Holmgren, Marble Falls, Tex., and Dr. Robert Holmgren, Fort Worth, Tex.; and two grandsons. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Crosby Kunold Burket Swanson Golden Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the Nurses Scholarship Fund at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Omaha, or Dundee Presbyterian Endowment Fund; they may be sent in care of Crosby Kunold Burket Swanson Golden Mortuary, 11902 W. Center Rd., Omaha, Neb., 68144.
