James "Jim" D. Greene, age 71, of Hot Springs, went quietly into the arms of our Lord, Sunday, November 13, 2016.
He was born on March 5, 1945 in Poteau, Oklahoma, the son of John Q. Greene and Ruth Caldwell Greene. On February 18, 1966, he married Patricia Nietz, his partner of 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A U.S. Army veteran, Jim was a Catholic in faith and a faithful member of St. Mary of the Springs Catholic Church. Although many would say he was a carpenter by trade, in reality, he was so particular with his craft, he was really a craftsman.
Jim is survived by his wife, Pat Greene of Hot Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, "Little Jim" and J.J. Greene of Pryor, Oklahoma and Eric W. and Nellie Greene of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Alysha K. Beard, Kammi Greene and her fiancé, Christopher Anderson and Tate M. and Josh Wallis; one sister, Barbara Baca of Poteau, Oklahoma; one niece and two nephews, Jana and Craig Hamilton and Jeff Baca, all of Poteau, Oklahoma; and many wonderful friends.
