Larry LeRoy Phipps, 76, of Spokane, WA, breathed his first breath in heaven and in God's glorious presence after passing peacefully in his home on May 27, 2017.

Larry was born to Cecil and Lillian Phipps on August 26, 1940 in Spokane WA.

He grew up in Spokane and attended West Valley High School.

He enlisted in the army and served in Germany where he met and married his wife, Ricarda "Ricci", and then returned to Spokane to live and raise their family.

Larry was a hardworking employee and retiree from Genuine Parts/NAPA of 41 years.

In his spare time he loved working with his hands as he crafted beautiful pieces of furniture and toys for his family to enjoy.
He also took pleasure in gardening, walking his dog, carving, traveling, trying new and unique restaurants, researching his family history, and especially spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his bride of 56 years, Ricci; brother, Clint (Kathy) Phipps; daughter, Sandee (Duane) Franklin; daughter, Nycol (Fred) Perry; granddaughter, Kristin (Michael) Myers; grandson, Matt Franklin; grandson Bryan (Alysa) Franklin; great-granddaughter, Hadley.
He is also survived by nephews and numerous cousins.

A memorial and celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Real Life located at 1831 S. Barker Rd., Greenacres, WA 99016.

A special thank you from Larry and his family to Hospice of Spokane who provided care and support to all of them, as well as his doctors and nurses at Cancer Care Northwest.
