Obituary of Nancy L. Westcott
formerly of 557 Broadway Oneida died Sunday evening July 5, 2009 in Rome Memorial Hospital where she had been a medical patient since Saturday morning. Nancy was born on October 2, 1939 in Norwich the daughter of Lawrence C. "Pat" and Alfhild Olson Westcott.
She was a graduate of Hamilton High School class of 1957 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Syracuse University. She had been employed many years ago as a production typist with the Dunn Law Firm and she had also done medical transcription in the Oneida area.
Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oneida and had been a member and supporter of the Oneida Area Civic Chorale. In her younger years she had been a very accomplished cellist and was a highly regarded finalist at NYSMA competitions.
Surviving is her sister; Joan S. Westcott of Oneida, friend of the family Robert W. Mann of Oneida, her aunt; Sylvia Tillotson of Longwood, FL and two cousins; Carol Miller of Norwich and Shirley Skahan of Utica
