The bodies of three former Lewiston residents were recovered from the North Fork of the Clearwater River 91 miles northeast of Orofino Tuesday morning by a skindiver.

Clearwater County Coroner William Shields identified the three as Mrs. Stephen (Sandra Elaine) Rawson, 19, and two of her three children, Richard Allen, 3, and Teana Marie, 21 months. They were headed northeast along the river to meet Mrs. Rawson's husband, an employe of J.E. Hall Logging Contractors, Spokane, which has a camp at Quartz Creek, a tributary of the Clearwater.

The 1959 Chevrolet station wagon Mrs. Rawson was driving plunged into water 25 feet deep after it struck a ridge of gravel and dirt in the road.

Rawson formerly worked for the Nez Perce County sheriff's office and recently moved to Larson's Bar on the North Fork of the Clearwater River.

Mrs. Rawson was born March 27, 1950, at Grangeville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren E. Squires. She lived at Kooskia until she was 5, then moved with per parents to Spokane where she attended elementary and junior high school before returning to Kooskia where she attended Clearwater Valley High School.

She married Rawson March 4, 1967, at Coeur d'Alene. They lived at lewiston until about a month ago. Both Richard Allen and Teana Marie were born at Spokane.

Survivors include another daughter, Stephanie, 4-1/2 months; Mrs. Rawson's mother, Mrs. Norma Bouton, Spokane; two brothers, Norman and Dale Squires, both of Spokane; five sisters, Margaret, Janey and Bonnie Bouton, all of Spokane, and Laurie and Carla Fines, both of Milton-Freewater; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Brandt, Kooskia; and a grandmother, Mrs. Hilda Squires, Kooskia.
