Evelyn Dee Pearson, 86, of Geneva, Shickley and Davenport, Nebraska passed away at Haven Home Nursing Home in Kenesaw, NE February 18, 2017.

She was born January 15, 1931 on a farm south of Davenport, NE to George and Mary Henkel.

After graduating high school in Davenport, NE, she moved to Lincoln, NE working as a secretary. She met Knox Pearson when home in Davenport and married June 16, 1950. This union was blessed with four children Charles Douglas, Thomas Leroy, Terry Ann and Kimberly Sue.

They started life together on a farm in Thayer County five miles east of Davenport and then moved to a farm in Fillmore County. In 1972 they moved to Shickley Nebraska. Evelyn started working at the bank in Shickley as a clerk and worked there until she retired as bank president in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father George and Mary Henkel, husband Knox Pearson, son Thomas Pearson and daughter Terry Moore.

She is survived by her son and his wife Doug and Lisa Pearson of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Kim of Lincoln, NE, brother and wife Robert and Elaine Henkel of Davenport, NE., sister and husband Sue and Dennis Johnson of Lincoln, NE and son-in-law Mike Moore and daughter-in-law Judy Pearson both of Lincoln, NE., six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
