Merrill A. Benson, 72, of Ong died Monday in Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport with the Rev. Fred Wolff officiating. Burial will be in the Ong Cemetery.
Mr. Benson was born Feb 6, 1912, at Ong. He was a lifelong resident and farmer in the Ong area. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Viola of Ong; one son, Ronald E. of Norfolk; one brother, Everett of Shickley and two grandchildren.
Williams Funeral Home at Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
