Mrs (Esther) Luther Erickson was born at Ong, Nebraska, June 7, 1894 and passed away after a short illness at the York hospital Tuesday, Dec 27, 1927, at the noon hour at the age of 33 years, 6 month and 20 days. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Stockholm Lutheran church in 1909. She was joined in holy wedlock to Mr Luther Erickson of Edgar, Nebraska, Dec 20, 1916.
This union was blessed with five children, two boys and three girls, Vincent, Kermit, Arlene, Justine Lavada, who was buried only two weeks ago from the day of her mother's burial, Nadine Luella, born Dec 1, 1927. She leaves to mourn her sudden and untimely departure the husband and four children, the oldest ten years old and the youngest only a few weeks old, her mother, Mrs Kate Thorson and her brother, Helmer of Edgar, her sister and brother on her father's side, Mrs Albin Nelson and Alfred Thorson of Ong, a host of relatives and a host of many near and dear friends.
Her father passed away in 1913 and a sister, Ella, on her father's side some four years ago.

At the time of her marriage she transferred her membership from the Stockholm Lutheran church to the Gethsemane Lutheran church then of Edgar but which is now the Gethsemane Lutheran church of Ong, of which church she was a member at the time of her death.

Mrs Erickson was a loving mother, a devoted and consecrated Christian, and a faithful church member. The memory of her devoted, cheerful, as well as consecrated life, shall live with power in the broken home, in her church and in the lives of all who knew her.
