Mrs Ingrid Benson, after a lingering illness passed away at home in Ong, early Thursday morning, Oct 22, 1925, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Mrs Benson was born in Skåne Sweden, June 24, 1854. She arrived in American in 1875 and the same year was joined in marriage to Alfred Benson, who with two children have preceded her to the greater world.

Mr and Mrs Benson lived for a short time at Stanton, Iowa and moved to Clay County and settled on a farm near Ong, when they lived until they made their home in Ong some 16 years ago.
To mourn her departure, are the four children; John and August Benson, Mrs Emmert Nelson and Carl Benson all at Ong. One sister, Mrs Nels Peterson, the only one now living among ten children, also of Ong and 11 grandchildren, also a large number of relatives and a host of many near and dear friends.

In 1879, Mrs Benson became a member of the Stockholm Lutheran Church, where she held membership until 1922, when she became a faithful member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Ong.

Mrs Benson was a faithful and devoted church member and a sincere Christian, who loved her Lord and knew him as her person Saviour.

Her favorite hymn which she loved to sing so much was "Rock of Ages", on which rock she built for eternity. Assured by Holy writ and believing in the Resurrection power of Jesus the Christ, we await a happy meeting and reunion on Resurrection.

Funeral services were held at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church last Saturday at 2 o'clock. The pastor chose as his text Psalm 27:4.
