IMMIGRATION: Listed on the 1900 US Federal Census as being in this country 17 years, immigrating in 1882, but that can't be correct, since he married his wife in Worcester in 1881.
On the Declaration of Intention he filed in 1919(see below), he said that he arrived at the port of Boston on or about the 15th day of July, 1882. He was 60 years old at the time of this paper. Could he be remembering wrong? Could he have been purposely giving a wrong date to throw off some imagined culprit he envisioned looking for him to do him harm? Or was it true? He could not remember the name of the ship he came on, either.

NATURALIZATION: October 1885 in Ssuperior Court of Holden in Worcester within and for the county of Worcester, he filed a Petition for Naturalization. He was 30 years old, living at 63 Kendall Street, Worcester and his two witnesses were Charles L. Anderson of 63 Kendall Street Worcester and John Alfred Gullberg of Field and Steele Street (Quinsigamond), Worcester.
Then, again, on the 26th of May, 1919 he filed his Declaration of Intention in the Superior Court of Massachusetts in the County of Worcester. This Declaration is number 19498.
