Vendla (Pearson) Jacobson, daughter of Jacob and Emma Pearson, was born in Fillmore County, Neb., March 9, 1889, and passed away at Fillmore County hospital, Geneva, December 30, 1976, at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 20 days.

She was baptized in early infancy and confirmed at Stockholm Lutheran church on October 8, 1905, and has remained a faithful member until her death.

On February 22, 1917, she was united in marriage to Arthur Jacobson. They made their home on a farm southwest of Shickley and lived their until 1946 when they retired and moved to a home in Shickley. It was their joy to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in February of 1967.
On October 17, 1974, they moved to Heritage of Geneva. On February 22, 1975, they were honored on their 58th wedding anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, on March 23, 1975; her sister, Tekla, and brothers, Oscar Nathaniel, Ernest, Emil and Harry Pearson. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, 13 nieces and nephews.
