Earnest S. Pearson was born at Shickley, Nebraska, January 19, 1887,and passed away at the Mary Lanning hospital, Hastings, Nebraska, at 12:30 early Thursday morning, August 7, 1930, at the age of 43 years, 6 months and 18 days.

He was confirmed at the Stockholm Lutheran Church,Shickley, May ll, 1902. Mr. Pearson was married to Miss Melinda Nelson of Ong, Nebraska, December 20, 1911. To this union two children were born, Milbourne, 14, and Bonnie, 11. Mr.

Pearson grew to manhood on the Pearson farm home seven miles southwest of Shickley and the latter years he has lived on his farm just across the road east of the parental
home.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death his beloved wife,the two children, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Nels Christenson, of Edgar, Nebraska; Mrs. Arthur Jacobson and Harry Pearson, both of Shickley, Nebraska, a host of relatives and many near and dear friends. His beloved mother
passed away almost six years ago, his devoted father some over four years ago and his brother, Emil, left us only 19 months ago.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 9, at 1 o'clock from the home and 2 o'clock at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Ong. The pastor, Rev. Hening L. Hassel, spoke
on the text from Matt. 26:39. A quartet composed of Mrs. Oscar Nelson, Miss Thilda Nelson, Mr. Algot Peterson and Mr. A. L. Swanson rendered several selections and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Peterson of Saronville rendered a vocal duet. The large attendance spoke silently of the high esteem in which the deceased, was held and witnessed tender regard for
the bereaved family, sister, brother and relatives. Interment was made in the Ong Cemetery.
