Theodore Ebburt Erickson, son of Carl and Mary Slatt Erickson, was born at Oak, May 20, 1888 and died in his sleep at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Nelson, May 11, 1967 at the age of 78 years, 2 month and 22 days.

As a young boy he moved with his parents to a farm east of Edgar. He was confirmed and attended the Swedish Lutheran Church in Edgar. Later the membership was transferred to the Ong Lutheran Church. In later years he was a member of St James Lutheran Church in Edgar.

In 1923 he was united in marriage to Ruth B Roos. To this union was born three sons, Mervin of Hastings, Ivan of Edgar and Charles of Sitka, Alaska and one daughter, Wilma Kelly of Coffeyville, Kan.

Those who mourn his passing are his wife, Ruth; three sons and one daughter; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Esther Pearson of Davenport; and a brother, Luther of Hardy, a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr Erickson was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many.
Funeral services were held Saturday at in St James Lutheran Church with Rev Henry Dumler officiating. Mrs James Phillis, accompanied by Mrs Vern Watson, sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "In the Garden."

Pall bearers were Dean Erickson, Ervie Laursen, Arvid Pearson, Knox Pearson, Richard Wicker and Albert Lobeda. Burial under the direction of the Urbauer Funeral Home of Edgar was in the Edgar cemetery
