EDGAR - Ivan "Speck" Erickson, 64, of Edgar died Friday, Jan 19, 1990, at the Nebraska Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Services will be Tuesday in the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home chapel in Edgar with the Rev Donald Hunzeker officiating. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery.
Mr Erickson was born Oct 29, 1925, near Edgar and attended rural schools. A 1942 graduate of Edgar High School, he served in the army from 1954-56.

He married Blanche Marie Brennfoerder Grossman Jan 5, 1955, at Hebron. He was a policeman at Edgar for four years and also drove a school bus for Edgar and Sandy Creek 20 years.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Ron of Edgar; three daughters, Janelle Randall and Jane Roth, both of Edgar and Jodi Taylor of Geneva; one stepson, Jerry Grossman of Gladstone, Mo.; two brothers, Mervin of Hastings and Charles of Sitka, Alaska; one sister, Wilma Kelly of Coffeyville, Kan; nine grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
