Harry Everett Marchant, 82, Aladdin, Wyoming died Tuesday, December 5 at the Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance.

Harry was born April 27, 1918 on the family ranch near Aladdin to Walter and Margaret (Waddington) Marchant. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School. He married Grace B. Johnson at Broadus, Montana on April 27, 1942. They resided at the ranch near Aladdin.

Harry was co-founder and club leader of the Bearlodge 4-H Club. He was a school board member for 8 years and was chairman of the fair board for 20 years.

He loved hunting, ranching and riding good horses. He enjoyed playing pool, cards and telling stories.

He was preceded in death by 2 infant children, his parents and a brother, William.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Marchant, Aladdin, WY; Sons, Ray Marchant and daughter-in-law Carolyn, Aladdin; five grandsons, Brian and Jerlyn, Sundance, Brad and Lori, Sundance, Chris and Stephanie, Aladdin, Clay, Aladdin and Devin, Aladdin; sister, Helen Beatrice Smith, Kokomo, Indiana; 2 great granddaughters, Hope and Haley and 2 nieces, Debbie Smith and Diane Smith both of Kokomo.

Funeral services were held December 8 at the United Methodist Church in Sundance with Pastor Ed Bollack officiating. Burial followed at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
