LINCOLN - R Gordon Benson of Lincoln died February 15, 1995 at the age of 60 years.
He was born July 21, 1934 in Ong.
Services were held Monday, February 20, 1995 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Frank Karnes, Bernard Kralik, Don Niedt, Gayle Johnson, Mark Thoms, Gary Denker and Todd Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers were all staff members at Lincoln Park and
Lincoln Memorial Funeral HoMe.
Gordon graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received his master's degree from Kearney State College and was retired from secondary education administration in 1989. He was a member of Lutheran Church, NSEA (Nebraska State Education Association), and Nebraska
Coaches Association.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie of Lincoln; one son. Rodney D Benson of Lincoln; two daughters, Debra and her husband Matthew Montanio of Troy NY and Christin L Benson of Lincoln; his mother Ethel Benson of Geneva; one sister Roslyn Niedt, Lincoln; one brother, Mr and Mrs Eldon Benson of Ong and two granddaughters.
Memorials may be given to the R Gordon Benson Scholarship Fund in care of the family.
