Marshall Herman Lindsay was born in Sellers, Alabama July 1, 1889 and died at a local nursing home August 31, 1972 at the age of 83 years. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Ruby Colvard of Wilburton, Mrs. Virginia Yoakum of Phoenix, Oregon, Mrs. Betty Rushing of Hilmar, California and Mrs. Lela Mae Smith of Mokelumne Hill, California; six sons: Monroe Lindsay of Red Oak, Joe of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Dean of Wilburton, Delaney of Tacoma, Washington, Bob of Malin, Oregon and Carl of Tacoma, Washington, 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services were Sunday, September 3 at 1:30 at Burke-Jones Chapel. The reverend Thel Smith officiated. Burial was in the Center Point cemetery under the directions of Burke-Jones funeral Home, Wilburton.
Pallbearers were Hughie Askew, Buster Ramsey, Edgar Wood, Dale Stinson, John Lucas and Jim Bullard.
